Get A Tattoo: Clan markings were ancient ritual tattoos. Tattoos were used to recognize their friends quickly, even in the frenzy of battle. But more importantly, marriage tattoos were believed to insure that you could find your lawful spouse(s) in the afterlife, even if you have passed through the veil, many years apart. Some tattoo artists can reproduce photo's of loved one's as tattoos.

Remember Your Loved One While On Vacation: If you go on a trip or vacation at a special anniversary time, do something to remember your loved one while on the trip ( i.e. light a candle or toss a flower into the ocean).

Have A Birthday Party: Have a party for your loved one on his/her birthday. Buy your loved one a birthday gift and donate the gift to a hospital, nursing home, etc. If you and your immediate family feel comfortable with it, have a birthday cake and ice cream as a special dessert after your special dinner. You could also take a piece of cake to the grave site.

Start A Birthday Collection: A specific collection could be started to memorialize your loved one's birthday year after year. Where figurines are collected with the numbers of their age on it. If you cannot find what you want, craft stores sell figurines that you can paint yourself. Find a special spot to display them.

Start A Holiday Collection: Start a holiday collection in memory of your loved one like angels or precious moments figurines. Each year at Christmas time, buy yourself another piece to add to your collection. Display them in a special spot for the holiday season.
