Purchase A Locket: Buy a special locket and put a photo of your loved one inside. Engrave it with your loved one's name, birth date, or date of death.

Remake Or Pass Down Jewelry: Have engagement or wedding ring stones made into a new setting for a necklace or another piece of jewelry. Jewelry is also an heirloom to be passed down in the family.

Have A Special Ring Designed: Consider incorporating your loved one's birthstone. You may want to get a family ring made including each member's stone or a necklace with the deceased love one's stone. I'm too hard on rings with stones so instead of getting a mother's ring made, I had my ears pierced several times and wear my children's birthstones as earrings.

Wear A Favorite Article Of Clothing: Wearing a favorite article of your loved one's clothing, slippers, or watch especially at difficult times can be very comforting.

Sleep With Loved One's Blanket: Sleep with one of your loved one's blankets. One of my son's blankets is frequently used when taking a nap on the couch.

Sew A Quilt: Make quilt blocks out of your loved one's clothing and sew them together to make a very special quilt that everyone will want to wrap up in. A loved one's sheet can be used as a back to either a quilt or a wall hanging.

Make Throw Pillows: If you don't have enough of your loved one's clothing to make a quilt or have some left over you can use the material to make quilted throw pillows.
