Plant A Memory Garden: creating a special garden can make a very beautiful tribute to a loved one. Statues can be added to symbolize the deceased or your beliefs, for example angels. My memory garden is a work in progress and is added to every year as it grows into a reflection of my memories.

Dig A Memory Pond: There is something about the sound of water that is very soothing to a troubled soul. For me, digging my pond by hand was very therapeutic. This type of physical labor was very exhausting, which allowed me to express my rage in a constructive way and tired me so that I could get some necessary sleep.

Have A Rock Or Plaque Engraved: This year on my son's death anniversary date, my best friends daughter hand painted a poem on a rock in my son's memory. I proudly have it on display in my memory garden.

Support A Zoo Animal: If your loved one was an animal lover, you may want to consider supporting a zoo animal in their memory.

Donate A Stuffed Animal: Buy a stuffed animal in memory of your loved one and donate it to the local police to be used when children are involved in an automobile accident.

Purchase A Stuffed Bear: Purchase a stuffed bear in memory of your loved one, and take it to a hospital to be given after the death of a baby so that the newly bereaved mom can have something to hold.

Buy A Newborn Or New Mom A Gift: Another way to celebrate your loved one's life is to send flowers or a gift to an infant born on your loved one's birthday. Call your local hospital to see if a child was born.

Make Infant Loss Awareness Ribbon: Make or purchase an infant loss awareness ribbon. You can find directions on how to make them at the Baby Bunny website. You could also decide to make and provide the ribbons to a local hospital. http://www.babybunny.net/bribbon.htm.

Make Or Have A Certificate Made: There are websites that can make certificates for your child as a service. You can also make one yourself on the computer that would be suitable for framing.
